Impossible Smash Burgers

Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4 burgers

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced onion, minced garlic, salt, cracked black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Add the plant-based ground and mix thoroughly until well combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions.

  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. If you don't have a nonstick skillet, lightly drizzle olive oil on the bottom of the pan.

  3. Take each portion of the plant-based meat mixture and flatten it between your palms to form patties. If desired, coat one side of each patty with thinly sliced onions.

  4. Place the patties, onion side down, onto the heated skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a nice browned "char" develops.

  5. Flip the patties and cook the other side for 2 minutes. If using cheese, place a slice on top of each patty to melt.

  6. Once the cheese has melted, remove the patties from the skillet. Assemble the burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.

  7. Serve the vegan Impossible smash burgers immediately and enjoy!

    Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your patties. Thinner patties will cook more quickly. Feel free to adjust the seasonings and toppings according to your taste preferences.
