Cinnamon Spiced Lemonade

Yields: 10 servings (8 oz glasses)

ingredients

  • 1 cup monk fruit granulated sweetener

  • 1 cup water

  • 4 cinnamon sticks (broken in half)

  • 1 cup lemon juice (from 6-8 large lemons)

  • 8 cups cold water

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

  2. Add the monk fruit granulated sweetener to the boiling water, stirring frequently until it dissolves.

  3. Lower the heat and add the broken cinnamon sticks to the saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the syrup with cinnamon flavor.

  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the cinnamon syrup sit for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. After 1 hour, strain the cinnamon sticks from the syrup.

  6. In a large container, combine the lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, and 8 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  7. Serve the cinnamon spiced lemonade over ice and enjoy its refreshing taste!
